POLANI INDUSTRIES ENQUIRE
I THE CRAFT

Made under one roof

From the first thread to the final fold, every Polani piece is made in our own house in SITE, Karachi — under the eye of the family that founded it.

VERTICALLY INTEGRATED

Nothing is outsourced. Warping, sizing, weaving, dyeing and the final hand all happen within our walls — so what we promise is what we deliver.

WARPING & SIZING

The quiet foundation

Thousands of threads are drawn onto the beam under perfect, even tension, waxed, then sized so they run cleanly through the loom. Leftover cones are rewound, never wasted.

WEAVING

Loop by loop

Thirty-two looms — Swiss Sulzer projectile looms beside high-speed air-jets — raise each loop of pile, dense and uniform, in terry and jacquard. Cam-motion and dobby looms weave sheeting and fabric in roll form.

DYEING & FINISHING

Colour, drawn deep

Colour is drawn deep into the fibre and matched to your reference, then the cloth is finished for lasting softness — so the hundredth wash feels like the first.

STITCHING & INSPECTION

The final hand

Cut, hemmed and bordered by skilled hands, then inspected piece by piece before it is folded, packed and leaves the maison. One in five of our people are women.

THE LEDGER

Behind the looms

The machinery that turns yarn into cloth — Swiss, Japanese and American engineering, chosen for precision that lasts decades.

01 Sectional warper Benninger · Switzerland 3.9 m width, with waxing device
02 Warping & sizing Benninger-Zell Evenly sized beams, ready for the loom
03 Terry looms Sulzer projectile · Switzerland 390 cm, computer-programmed
04 Air-jet looms High speed Dense, uniform terry and jacquard at speed
05 Fabric looms Sulzer projectile · Switzerland 330 & 390 cm, cam motion & dobby, for sheeting
06 Winding Murata · Japan Rewinds leftover cones from warping and sizing
